Terms of Service
Last updated 16 August 2026
Applies to raisedbydesign.co and the Raised by Design platform. Raised by Design is not a medical service, diagnostic tool, clinical instrument, or substitute for professional advice. Please read Section 4 carefully before using the platform.
1. Who We Are
Raised by Design ("we", "us", "our") operates the website raisedbydesign.co and the associated platform (the "Service"), provided by Raised by Design Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17402515, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ ("the Company"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Service.
By creating an account, you confirm you are 18 years of age or older, and that you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. What Raised by Design Provides
Raised by Design is a subscription platform for parents that provides:
- The Design Profile — a parent-completed observational questionnaire about your child's development
- The Blueprint — a personalised development summary generated from your Design Profile and Vision Builder answers
- A library of research-informed practices ("protocols") for you to use with your child
- The Evidence Bank — a place for you to log observations about your child's development
- A community forum for parents using the platform
The specific features available to you depend on whether you are using the free tier or a paid subscription.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may create an account for the purpose of entering information about your own child or a child in your care with appropriate parental or guardian authority to do so.
We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, abusively, or in breach of these Terms.
4. Important — What This Service Is Not
Please read this section carefully. It affects how you should use the Service.
The Design Profile is a parent-report observational tool, not a clinical or diagnostic instrument. It reflects your own observations of your child and has not been validated against a clinical population.
- Raised by Design is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic service.
- Nothing on the Service constitutes medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation.
- The Service should not be used to make medical, therapeutic, or educational placement decisions about a child.
- The protocols and practices offered are general, evidence-informed suggestions for family life. They are not tailored clinical interventions and are not guaranteed to produce any particular outcome.
- If you have concerns about your child's health, development, safety, or wellbeing, please consult an appropriately qualified professional — for example a GP, paediatrician, psychologist, or your child's school.
You use the Service, and any protocol or practice within it, entirely at your own discretion and judgement as a parent or guardian.
5. Subscriptions and Payment
Certain features require a paid subscription. Current plans are:
- Monthly — billed monthly, cancel any time
- Annual — billed once per year
- Founding rate — a discounted annual rate available to a limited number of early subscribers, locked in for as long as the subscription remains continuously active
Prices are shown at checkout in the currency and amount displayed at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as our authorised payment processor and, where applicable, Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of sale, which will be presented to you at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or the Paddle customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
See our Refund Policy for details on refunds and the 14-day money-back guarantee.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including Design Profile answers, Evidence Bank entries, and forum posts ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a licence to store, process, and display it back to you as part of operating the Service, and — where you post in the community forum — to display it to other users of the forum.
You are responsible for ensuring Your Content does not infringe any third party's rights and does not contain anything unlawful, defamatory, or harmful. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.
7. Community Forum
If you use the community forum, you agree to treat other members respectfully. We may moderate, edit, or remove posts, and suspend or remove members, at our reasonable discretion, particularly in relation to content that is abusive, discloses another person's private information without consent, or is unrelated to the purpose of the community.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the Blueprint Method, the Design Profile, all protocols, written content, branding, and underlying software, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property law. You may use it for your own personal, family use. You may not copy, republish, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the Service for any particular purpose, save as required by law.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will give you reasonable notice — for example by email — before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
12. Contact
